What is XStory.io, exactly?

It's an 18+ interactive-story platform where you describe a scenario and our AI instantly writes a custom story—complete with optional images. You can keep stories private or publish them so others can read and comment.

Do I have to pay to use it?

No—every account starts on the Free plan with a **one-time** credit allowance. When your free credits are gone, you can upgrade to **XStory Pro** for additional credits and features.

How do 'credits' work?

Each credit lets you run one AI generation (text and optionally images). Free users receive a **one-time** bundle that does not refill; Pro subscribers get a larger pool and can purchase top-ups whenever needed.

What happens when I run out of credits?

You'll be prompted to upgrade to Pro or purchase a top-up pack—credits don't automatically refresh.

Who owns the stories the AI generates?

You own the content you choose to publish, subject to our Terms of Use. You can repost or remix it anywhere, but we retain the right to display it on XStory.

Can I publish mature or explicit content?

Yes, as long as it's legal and follows our content rules—no minors, non-consensual acts, or other illegal material. Mark it **Mature** so only logged-in adults can see it.

Why do you need my email address?

To create your account, reset your password, and send service-related notices. We'll only send marketing emails if you opt in.

Do you store the prompts I type?

No. Prompts are processed in memory and never written to our servers—only your device keeps a local copy for your own history.

Is my data safe?

We use HTTPS, encrypted databases, and role-based access controls. Payment details stay with Stripe—we never see your full card number.

Will my stories be used to train the AI?

No. We don't feed your stories, prompts, or usage data back into model training.

How can I delete my account (and data)?

Go to **Settings → Delete Account**. Deletion is immediate and permanent; we do not retain a backup copy of your data.

I'm seeing 'Rate Limit' errors—what's up?

Heavy traffic or bot-like activity triggers temporary limits to keep the service stable. Wait a few minutes and try again.

Can I embed XStory stories on my blog?

Not yet—an embed widget is on our roadmap. For now you can share the story link anywhere.

Do you support languages other than English?

The interface is English-only for now, but if you prompt the AI in another language—or ask it to respond in a language you choose—the story will follow your request. Accuracy varies.

I found offensive content—how do I report it?

Send an email to support@xstory.io with the story URL and a brief description of the issue. We review reports within 24 hours.

What's your refund policy for Pro?

You can cancel anytime; Pro benefits last until your billing cycle ends. We don't offer pro-rated refunds except where required by law.

Where do you host my data?

In secure U.S. data centers operated by leading cloud providers. See our Privacy Policy for details.

Do you sell my personal information?

Absolutely not. We share data only with essential service providers under strict contracts.

How will I know if your policies change?

We'll email you and show an in-app banner at least 30 days before major updates take effect.
